• If I don't make it back, tell Hippy I always loved him.

And I always hoped it was me. Deep down I always knew you were too good for me...

  • riding in the snow is arse injected death sentence

  • 23Cs on about 120psi - what a laugh! A few comedy falls, nothing too bad though. Fixed is definately the way to go, I was brakeless 46X18 and it was brilliant, loads of grip and traction, although a few skiddy moments going UP dog kennell hill!

I popped in to Condor on the way to work and the guy who served me said he had seen 'some nutter' riding brakeless out that way on skinny tyres. It was probably you.

I love you like a brother; with hippy it's more like Arkansas cousins.

  • more pics from this morning

  • I'm about to walk to the cashpoint. If I don't make it back, tell Hippy I always loved him.

    I feel so used…

damn those radio celebrities and their cavalier attitudes to love

  • where you get that commodore sticker clefty????????????????!!!!! amazing. amiga 600 :)

  • was on the road bike last night, complete disaster, stacked it 3 times, beautifully swollen knee today

fixed is much better in treacherous conditions, the instant feedback from the road gives much better information as to traction etc, and can slow down with so much more control

  • here's a good tip (learned the hard way). rinse your bike off after you get home. the salt will rust your chain/frame/fuck your hubs

  • Ok I love you all; well, not all, not this morning. but apart from *****, I love you all.

  • This morning's ride was the slowest fun I've had. Was great seeing town look so different, no buses, everyone seemed in a good mood too. (Except the one cyclist who spent 5 minutes shouting at the Ford Ka that was going really slowly in front of him. Irony is lost on some people.)

Weirdly, the hardest thing for me was putting my foot down. That almost took me off a few times.

  • It didn't help with some Ka driver revving behind me and beeping his horn. When I stopped and turned, he was waving me to get off the road and shouting.

WAC. Probably would've calmed down a bit when you walked over to their car and simply pushed it off the road. :)

Then d-locked the impatient arsehole's skull in for good measure. Urge to kill rising..

  • i'm unhappy! rode perilously into town this morning, still on my roadbike from yesterday, fell twice not too bad but realised at Liverpool St that I had neither keys nor phone battery. So I had to get matthew's keys from him, ride back to his, and now I'm looking at the prospect of riding from Herne Hill to Hackney Wick.

Oh and I've got an interview this afternoon, just to make all of these journeys totally necessary!

Ha!.. I told you it doesn't matter what you say.. I'm keeping the puppy!

  • This morning journey to work was great!

And look @ this guys! I had deep Vs rims, and blade fork!!!

    ... kind of...

Anyway, with all these pics of peoples on their bikes, I suppose south beers will be crowded as usual, so see you later guys maybe...

    Szia

    Loic

I thought about that after yesterday's Hell ride but I've been too good to that fucking Ribble.. every time I wash the bastard, the next week the weather just gets worse! So, I'm letting the fucking thing corrode. Mwuahahahahaaaa

  • Took me about an hour from Stamford Hill to Royal Oak - with only one clipless pedal moment. Obigatory 'FGG' shots with added crud.

    here

all sorts of good stuff in all colours and sizes. Vic 20 FTW!
Although my other half has 2 64's and an A500 at home.

  • So did any of you rock hard couriers go into work then? I told you it was foolhardy in these conditions! There's no way I'm going to go and ride around in this all day. I mean that in two senses:
    1) There's no way I would attempt it
    2) There's no way I would succeed if I did attempt it. I'd inevitably fall off, hurt myself and end up stuck in central London with no easy way of getting home.

I fell off on some ice in that really cold snap at the start of January and had to take two days off work because my knee was fucked, there's no way I'm going to go cycling when ice is the major component of the road surface!

  • brockley to oxford street - phew, that was fun...

Is that a fixed moulton? How well does i work with the suspension.

  • Our courier company just phone up to say they have suspended collection and delivery today for their drivers!
