  • about 57cm, but go to Condor or Evans and get yourself sized up.

errrr so the 54cm one i'm watching on ebay is no good then...

  • depending on your inside legs measurement really, just go to your local Evans and get yourself sized up.

    or just try and figure it out yourself;

    Bummer. looks like your right.
I'll have to let this frame go.
It'll be hard, but its for the best.
If you love them set them free....

  • 54cm is ridable with the right stem/saddle length thought, but won't be exactly as comfortable as a correct sized frame.

plenty of other frame out there either way.

  • A lot of frame makers do it like this. Take your inside leg measurement (mine = 34") minus 11" (me=23") and that's the size frame you want. Convert it to cm (58.42). Nice and simple. I'm bloody tall but I don't have especially long legs so don't require that large a frame.

  • cheers :-) there are better photogs on the forum than me though!

a few more trix shots here if you're interested...

And here's my current project (tenuously bike related):

taking photos of people's new bikes. It's not specifically aimed at the forum, but I'd be happy to do mates rates...

Good idea for some extra wonga that.

  • ^where ya been dude?

Jet setting round the globe with my snowboard - back off to Italian alps for a couple of days tomorrow, then back in town for a couple of weeks so will be putting in a visit to Wests in the near future

  • ...finally got around to taking some snaps today:

  • Ooooooh, TBH, that is actually the First B Gangster ive actually truly liked.
    Very well done.

  • really like that look...

    very nice build.
Bike Porn ? yes i think so anyway.

  • very nice! flying fortress livery? seat's a random choice no?

  • Wow, I'm kinda feeling that brooklyn, would look sweet with black wheels imho

  • nah, I like how the silver velocity look with the bike, it's gorgeous and somewhat unique despite a simple colour co-ordination.

fucking fantastic mate, I can really tell you invested a lots in this BMW.

  • usually i get pretty upset (literally weepy) by mismatching shades of the same colour, in this case various different silvers and greys, but there are so many here that it hangs together well. But then I have before arranged my books according to the colours of their spines...

  • ......But then I have before arranged my books according to the colours of their spines...

hah, i do that too :)

  • if I'm nicpicking, I'd go for a different tyres, but that it.

  • unbroken, what bars are they?

  • unbroken, what bars are they?

quick google said they're an Answer protaper bar.

  • cheers mate!

  • on the back of the bar, it said protaper, as well as the front have the letter 'A'.

  • ...yes, Answer ProTaper, hi-rise, had a bit of a nightmare to get the Titanium colour, think they may have been discontinued, bought from the US in the end.

Superprecise: was actually going for that kind of look, mixture of different greys/silvers, matte/shiny etc.

Ed: Know what you mean about the tyres, had second thoughts after I fitted them, but I guess they'll be a shade of black in no time (& thanks for the bikeporn post ;))

  • I'm 6'1, so what size frame should I be looking for?
I'm on a giant pug conversion at the mo, its too big, the headtube is as long as my arm.

use this fit calculator for a general idea: http://www.competitivecyclist.com/za/CCY?PAGE=FIT_CALCULATOR_INTRO

  • [quote=Unbroken1;495702]...finally got around to taking some snaps today:

    gorgeous! +1

    would look nice with a aerospoke\s :p

  • Help,
    i got this frame...

    which i'm in love with.
there is one problem its a 52in frame and acording to every bike shop it will be "uncomfortably small" (i'm 6ft1)
so the question now is do i:
    a) not listen to bricklane bikes, build it anyways and ride it till my back snaps?
    b) sell it?
    c) dip it in gold and wear it around my neck?

My size! (well, in cm.) Sell it to me.

    I am 5'6 btw.

  • Those oven mitts look about my size; how much?
