Woooh.. finally got my Planet X Pro Carbon Track on the road this morning.
Compared to my steel-trackbike it's noticeably lighter and the disc+4spoke-combination with 21mm tubs is really easy to spin up.. the 48:17 gear seems almost too light.. I have been used to riding Marathon Plus's for some time though.. so everything is light compared to that.
21mm Tufo S33 Special's are not that great for grip though.. tried skidding just to check the "stopping power" and my conclusion was that I'll have to be a carefull brakeless rider on that bike.. ;)
Also one more note on the clearance of the Planet X fork.. When rolling slow the last kilometer before reaching my destination this morning I could hear salt-flakes being crushed between the front tyre and the fork"crown" .. damn' thats tight..
The project is not done yet, the stem I got with the bike is a bit too short, and the handlebar feels a bit soft.. So I guess I'll try out a borrowed longer stem, and then perhaps get something oversize.
