do as I say, not as I do, eh Chris?
Harsh. True, but harsh.
Chris has a (kind of) real job now, and no longer looks homeless, its sad but true.
also I made it about 1/10 of the way through the photos before realizing I miss every single one of you in a big way.

What a thrilling ride and wonderful day out. Well done to all who organised, stewarded, sponsored and rode and documented. (Cheers esp to Teddy).
Also thanks to all who helped when my lady was bumped off her bike on hackney road. She was ok and the b****trd who did this was suitably chastened once he reralised that I called the police. (I withdrew my compaint at my lady's behest once she realised she and bike were fine.)
The reaction from the public was amazing, everyone was smiling. This should be a regular diaried event in the capital which will become a focus for tourists flocking from all over the word to view tradditional looking english type folk doing high jinks in mid winter. (or would it be better for a summers day - my cricket whites wouldn't be so out of place -though tweed may be a mite warm)
Good to meet forum folk too.

My wife and I came up to Savile Row on Saturday to see you off - you all looked magnificent! Thank you all, the turnout and standards of dress and machinery were excellent and you certainly cheered up our day.
I took a few photos which I'll try and put up somewhere.

What a positively spiffing day out. Big big thanks to Teddy and the wardens, Roxy (and others) for the wonderful pictures and everyone else for just turning up and being thoroughly agreeable chaps/ladies. The reaction from the general public was fantastic as well, some priceless facial expressions.
Hope to attend many many more of these.

I fu<king missed it. Got a massive favour recalled at the 11th hour so I was required elsewhere, but I wore my tweed in protest. But, that's is but a trivial fact as it looks quite obvious that each and every one of you had an absolutely amazing day. Well done Teddy, well done everyone. Even looking at the photos is cheering me up, I can only imagine what it would have been like to be there. Next time chaps and ladies, next time.

She's Dante's better half, looked like a classic 50s pinup - all lipstick, peroxide and on a tasty 50s-ey ride.
Big thanks to all the photographers! Some great pics on that tagged group.

Not really much to add to all this^^...
Lovely ride, lovely people, lovely bikes. The tourist reaction was incredible.
Fave moments: outside Trumper's, crossing Oxford Circus, outside the Tate, and especially in Regents Park - looking back at the mass of people and then seeing, further back, another mass riding round the corner.
Now only a bit more work de-tweeding the TweedBike (tm). I left the saddle and bars for today to keep the memories!

On the late train with the thanks here, but thank you so much to everyone who got tweededed on Saturday. I came up from Bristol for the ride, and had an absolutely superb day.
I thought this was a great example of the old saying that "clothes maketh the man" - everyone truly lived up to their outfits with exceptionally gentlemanly (and ladylike) behaviour the order or the day! Our joy and good humour was infectious and reflected back at us by the hundreds of slightly confused but smiling onlookers along the route; as well as the odd uncharacteristically cheerful and polite policeman, bus-driver, or taxi-driver!
Also good work on the photo's everyone, I was really stoked to find a couple of myself amongst them too!

Regatta!
I checked... Kew Bridge to Henley, via a circuitous route to follow the Thames (Richmond > Kingston > Hampton > Datchett > Windsor > Henley) is about 55 miles.
It could be done as a leave-early thing... but we could also take a more direct route and only follow the River Thame as a way to avoid Heathrow and Feltham... once past there straighten up and ride direct.
hey i would like one as well please.
easts on wed ftw ?
