ed has a point, its advised that you spend like atleast 10% of the cost of your bike on a lock.
If the security of your bike corresponds its value a bike thief will more likely go for a bike which costs the same but has less security. I feel for you though
Ive had a few bikes stolen from me, and once i had one of those cable locks which only litteraly take 5 seconds to cut through (ive tested that myself). So i wouldnt rely on those things at all.
go for d locks, they're not that expensive but strong as fuck
