well well, i'll try not to gush but I just want to say thanks to everyone for making SO MUCH effort. I knew it would be a bit of a spectacle but I was amazed by just how good it was. A truly memorable day. Furthermore, I've still yet to meet anyone through this forum that I haven't liked.
Just to reiterate, Teddy's done us proud here and the attention to detail was incredible (the gin, the perfectly in-keeping prizes, the brilliant name tags, the period-correct raffle tickets...). Maximum credit also to Ved for the badges and everyone else for things like tea (in bone china of course), flapjacks, stilton, copious good quality brandy and so forth.

I did unfortunately manage to crash full speed into one of those 'P' shaped barriers along the regents canal towpath on my way home but didn't hurt myself or the bike too badly. Lucky not to have ended up in the drink! That strong beer at East drinks did me in fairly comprehensively.
