will add my tuppence in here, great day, great fucking day, was on a tweed high until I went to bed in the early hours, will be wearing the tweed outfit into work one day soon. Massive turnout, so good natured and the onlookers who saw us as we perambulated from one road to another were constantly amazed.
Big thanks to Teddy for organising, Prav for being just Prav and helping out when and where necessary, Jos and Keith for having such a great bike shop where, a load of tweed sporting cyclists can roll up, gawk at bike bits, and grab coffee. The bloke at the working mens club for making the best cuppa I've had in a long time, the other stewards, dancing james, jacqui, pink gotti, superprecise for keeping the people moving and together, and everyone for being so fucking 531.
Once I'm back on the booze I might even try that gin I won.
Tweed ride is now officially part of the forum tradition, up there with the bridges ride, and jaunts to the seaside.
I think we should have Tweed sundays, where smaller groups take to the streets in tweed and gracefully make their way hither and yon.
I look forward to riding in my tweed with many of you again.
Yours faithfully in Tweed, Cornelius Tweedfoot of Tweedington Manor...
