  • What you have to remember is as with all prescribed drugs some are more suitable with people and not to others.
    i was informed that zyban was orignally used as an antidepressant and champix was used as a dieting pill. i have used both with no adverse side effects, champix i must admit proved better for me.
    if you suffer with depression neither tablets should be used and this will be made quite clear to you by a nurse or gp, along with the side effects if you continue to smoke when your dose is raised to 2 tabs per day, this can make you quite ill.
    there are many aids out there now so you have a choice, id say give them a chance especially if zyban worked for you as champix are twice affective.
    regular monitoring is usual practice at my gps whilst on these tablets so i would presume this is usual practice everywhere.
