Finally finished my Colnago Track build, went out for a spin on the weekend and took a few pics.
I got the frame way back last March off a guy in Italy, the paint work was knackered so I had it resprayed Pearl White and new decals applied. The rest of that time I've been slowly collecting all the parts with the aim of building up a vintage Italian Track bike.
The parts are pretty much all Italian and from roughly the right era.
Colnago Mexico Track, Mid 70s I think?
Campagnolo Record Pista - Hubs, Cranks, Pedals, Headset, BB, Seatpost
Cinelli bars and stem with leather stitched bar wrap.
Selle Italia suede saddle.
The hubs are laced to Mavic Open Pros (Wheel build thanks to Gabes!) because I gave up trying to find vintage 36H Clincher rims and they still have that classic look especially with the Veloflex tyres.
Plus a Phil Wood sprocket to finish it all off!
Still got a few adjustments to make to the saddle position and the LH pedal is sticking a bit so might need re-greasing but the ride is really smooth and a lot of fun!
