Yesterday was the first time i ride my bike on snow, coming from a tropical country i never had this experience .
I started to work really soon and there were still some snow everywhere .
I know for you guys can sound silly but for me was really fun !I was hoping to this this morning again but there was no snow outside, i got so disappointed =
Don't worry. Unfortunately this weather is not common over here.

cripes it was frikken freezing last night. just could not get my hands warm riding about looking at flats. a friend was playing football in croydon said it was showing -8 when they got in the car afterwards.
weirdly after all the blah about -10 celcius on the radio last night, even quite early this morning was comparatively mild in town i thought. definitely above freezing and even drizzling in places.

Snow this morning and a "you've got to be joking" from some guy who seemed to be dismounting at every sign of ice (very frequently) as I popped around a hardpacked offhand camber.

Jesus H Christ, just had an epic ride back from hackney, in driving headwind, mad crosswinds and rain that hurt my face, usual 50 min ride too an hour and a half.
Thats some evil fucking weather out there tonight, thank fuck MOC was waiting in with a hot bath and hot chocolate for me.On a brighter note had an epic collision with a pedestrian trying to run across the road as traffic was coming towards him turing off Grove Road, He obviously hadn't seen me so I shouted a 'heads up' at him when I was about 10 feet away from him, his reaction - proper rabbit in headlights, stopped dead in my path, couldnt stop in time, so I went straight into him - he held out his hands to protect himself, somehow managed to grab my arms, get astride my front wheel as I took him a good 4 feet down the road before we stopped, he stood back apologetically holding his hands up whilst i shouted something at him, then I road off. 100m down the road, I suddenly realised I hadn't unclipped during the whole incident, I even got a beep and a wave from the car behind me that had obviously seen the whole thing. Pretty mad

Having said that...now I can openly say Im more of a hardman than OOL. awful awful awful

Rode down from Upper Clapton to a party in Southwark Bridge Road. I was nearly blown off my bike in Shacklewell Lane, the last bit before the A10. The wind whipping up from Crossway can make that like a wind tunnel. A walkenger desperately held on to his umbrella, then the handle snapped and he let go. Luckily, it didn't hit anyone. I put it into a bin. Got completely soaked on the rest of the way down but used streets that were largely sheltered from the wind, and Southwark Bridge was fine. Going back oop north with two friends, the rain had stopped and it was completely still, a beautiful night. Blissful.

First day back on the bike after a month or so off. Wet!
Can anyone recomend some overshoes that stop the wet. I have some neoprene ones that appear to do the exact opposite - sucking the water in, then holding it on you shoes!

This is why I like the cold weather. Non of this dirty fucking rain where you can't see very far and you know the drivers can see even less.

so glad it has rained so heavily over the last few days, it has washed all that grit shit off the roads, just wet this morning. (nearly got a lift in though, was offered, but in the end i said NO!)

God it was a mission this morning. Holloway Road was hell, strangely enough, there was grit everywhere too. Motorcylists in bus lanes are slowly beginning to piss me off. I can see that idea ending in tears pretty soon

looks like it's clearng up for a bit, (there's the kiss of death!), might see if I can make it during this window, supposed to have stopped come home time. (there's the second kiss of death!)

You are right on that one. Last week was very slippery with all the grease and salt on the roads.

gotta love sleeping in for the extra half hour to let the heavy rain subside and stop. booyah!

So glad I washed my bike yesterday...
Great fun ride in the pelting rain, water proof(ish) bib tights, full length mud guards and the first proper wear of the water proof top and it did ok. Now just need to keep my shoes and gloves full of dry newspaper and hope they dry out before tonight.

Yep, that is exactly what I did too. No way was I going out in that monsoon that hit North London at about 7

I left the house at 8, got halfway to work then realised I'd forgotten something, so cycled back... Was soaked to the skin so decided to have a shower and get the train instead... Got to Brixton, hung about on the platform for half an hour before they decided to close the line as far as Victoria... Bollocks! Went home, got on the bike and cycled to work... My arse is still damp... I hate rain... Loads of cunts on the road today, I pretty much had to shout and punch my way to Clerkenwell... :/

Today = rest day. WAC!
The 25min walk to the station took 50min using this new-fangled thing called a BUS. FUCKSAKE!
Again, the only consolation was the fact that I get some reading done.
yeah snow is still a novelty for me. to be honest i can handle the cold, as long as it's not horrible and grey. lack of sunlight sends me a bit something something.
