Yes - except the full English bit.
I might just turn round and ride back again if I follow through with vague plans to ride a 12hr TT this year.
Well, perhaps a few beers on the beach first...

Definitely aiming to do it this year, will be my first ton.
Not sure whether it will fixed or gears yet though.
maybe if I have my new frame by then.... -
• #4
i'd like to give it a go this year.

It was great last year. The year before was horrible :) I'd probably do it again and ride part of the way back (don't know about all of it bmmf - 300k - I was pretty sore/tired).

I was thinking we needed to get more of the forum out for dunwich this year, just the other day.
Good man Jimbilly.
Last year was great, but hard, definitely up for this year.
Still undecided as to do it fixed or geared, I'm thinking probably fixed, but might lower the gearing slightly...
Dunwich here we come... -

I missed it last year owing to an incompatible bottom bracket. I'll make sure I have a choice option this year!
-
• #8
I'm game.

Fair game?
Corny, fixed around 68-70" seems good. There's a few little bumps that seem bigger due to fatigue and one long downhill I'd brake on if I was spinning my butt off with glee.

Scott and I are intending on doing it this year, both geared though as Scott's done it fixed and brakeless once, dorsn't see the point in doing it again that way and I'm going to have the option of gears by then so novelty factor and newest bike will dictate.

I'm in this year after finding excuses for the last two...
I'm sure that Robofoxx and Mackenzie will be into it as well.

I'm well up for this, never done a long ride before, only busy city days of about 30-40 miles... Do any one on here ever organise group training sessions for this before hand?
-
• #13
I will stick my name down tentatively providing I am not on holiday, otherwise engaged or it's raining/cold/miserable

After reading the buzz about this last year, seeing the pics on here, I am definitely up for it this year. Probably going to do it fixed, need to HTFU for any long downhill stretches which still freak me out a bit.
-
• #15
i guess i'll be doing it again this year
having done it the last 2 years if i ride fixed i'm not riding with geared riders again unless i have gears, the pace was just a little bit too fast for me so i'll pick the bike based on what others are riding. -
• #16
not this year, it clashes with track.
-
• #17
i'm going to ride it fixed... only option I have right now. Shouldn't be to painful fixed should it?

If the weather is like last year I'm in again but I'll never endure another year like 2007.
-
• #20
i would like.
training? what do i need to do? -
• #21
ride a bike for fucking miles, then ride it some more.
-
• #22
I'm up for it again. Fixed FTW!
Fancy the ride back to Ipswich again, hippy? This time I might actually do a bit of training...
-
• #23
yeah i thought as much. do i need to learn to cry and ride at the same time?

that was my first. i did have a change of clothes, warm car and a BBQ waiting for me though. without that i would have cried.

I want to do it this year, so count me in.
Last year was a lot of fun and I think its time to start getting ready for this years one.
So who's in for a long, long night ride then full english and beers on the beach?
