70 tried out this week! Impressive
That is why I couldn't take photo's. It was too busy for either me or Winston to snap and do everything else we had to.
There will be some good photo's available soon. We'll post a link to them as soon as we get our filthy little mitts on them.

Ah I was wondering about the photo thing, because when I had a go I'm pretty sure I had my photo taken, but it was early and empty and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the professional I saw walking about later...

With a time of 15 seconds you have nothing to worry about.

Two things stand out from that video. Well two things plus the girl with the megaphone.
All the top performing rollers are now using the drops. This appears to differ from the advice that I was originally given about using the tops to open my lungs.
The other point is that the rollers appear to have their toes pointing at a downwards angle rather than flat.

this was the first time i'd used the drops, i usually use the tops of the bars and sit more upright, but for some reason i tried something different this time. i don't think it makes much difference, cos i wasn't really any faster than normal. maybe it provides an aerodynamic advantage ;)
i never thought about my toes, i just spin. maybe it's just naturally faster that way and i didn't realise it.
i don't know if there's much technique to roller racing, other than having a reasonably smooth pedal stroke and plenty of legspeed (which you can maintain for the whole distance). remember BJ winning Kingspin despite not owning a bike? I don't think he was worried about his technique...

Rest assured, young Master hippy, I shall be doing them with feet parallel to the ground and with a variety of hand positions.

How does one go about getting a practice on these rollers then? With a severe and terminal job failure last week I really need to find some stuff to do for a while.
And would you believe it...day 1 of my first free week and its pissing down. I was gonna do a 50 miler today....bollocks!
