I did put a new cable through the frame.
easier than what it looks like.
i put the wire from the front then with a torch I waited for the head of the wire to come up.
What i did, i used a disposable wire hanger (the one they give you at dry cleaning) to stick into the top of it and gently slide it out of the hole.
it was really simple!!
