Cheers, yeah I was gonna do it the other way around, but that required more polishing, and I couldn't be bothered, especially getting in all the 'crooks and nannies' with a huge polishing wheel. I'm gonna try rattle can clear coating it, hopefully that will lock in the surface so it doesn't oxidise and dull... maybe.
