I guess too much loitering on savile row waiting for everyone to show up could be a problem. Once everyones arrived riding down there for a quick stop off and photo would be less of a problem than hanging around swigging brandy for half an hour before the ride starts.

Oh and if anyone needs pipe baccy give me a shout. Got a pack of gold block that theres no chance i'll ever finish. May be sweetening it with a dash of vanilla and orange peel for good measure.
I would love to cadge the odd bowl of rough shag if that would be at all possible
cheers cheers cheers

JD, have those +4s turned up today? I find myself at a sudden and unexpected loss of anything to do!

"There's bleeding 'undreds of 'em guv!"

No problem old bean, sweetened or unsullied as the good people of ogdens intended it?
-
• #682
That's dashed civilised of you Sir. A modicum of vanillaesque essence would most certainly be commodius to ones smoking enjoyment

Hello folks,
Number 54 now appears to be free as oneonelangster appears to be having a tantrum on another thread.
I am sure a suitable replacement will be found. Not really into politics ...
Cool out, tweed up.
Peace, Tim- Teddy

Hm, it says:
Men: Evening wear, collar and tie or military uniform.
Women: MenPresumably this won't be attained by even the most assiduous tweed-wearing?
Or don't they take it as seriously in practice?

What are the prices like there?
I need a nice jacket. -

They've seemed pretty relaxed when I've been before. So long as you look like a retro gentleman you'll be fine. Obviously anyone wearing anything that looks like it's styled from the last 40 years is turned away.
last time I went with a brown pinstripe 3 piece suit with tank driver goggles and a beret.
I'm sure a bunch of dapper chaps (and secret chapettes) like ourselves will be fine.

An idea of how we could use some of the photos taken on the day...?

(but only if I can be 'king ace! ;) )

Personally, of course, I'm rather fond of talking like an asshole though… -

Screw the ace, give me the joker!

I would, if I didn't only have enough for a rather limited amount of tweed!
Then again I could ride my father's charge plug race although...I'd rather ride my own :P
it's really just the same bike with only the handlebar being different.
Can't exactly make mine more classic, since the black deep V-shaped rims probably look out of place, but otherwise it still look classic with the lugged fork.
I'll just dress like an 1930's cyclist with big mutton chop beard (if it can get as big as possible by 10 days time).
-
• #694
Dont worry guys i have 19 pairs on the way! All new and unused line as well so no nasty rubbing of the legs etc etc
Will there be some fetching brown ones in a 32 on Saturday morning?
Where is your shop again sorry?
How much will they be please?

Colours are less drastic though ^^

i think traditional clothing on modern machines will look cool and less incongruous than say a carbon shoes, a full on lycra skin suit and aero helmet while riding a penny farthing if you get my drift.

Combining the best of both is key I think. Like these beauties...
