Your're obviously building them to ride them, which I can relate to.
I did however see a disturbing (to me at least) bike on EBay once. A top of the range carbon Trek built up with seriously pricey and light weight components. Every bolt was titanium, and the gear + brake cables cost more than a decent derailler. The bike was being sold basically unridden, at a estimated loss of a grand or so. I got the impression bike was built, purely to be weighed.
