Fred, I'm interested in a set, we're talking the ones right below rather than the longer ones with the ball ends.?
I'll PM you in a second... -

£25 for a really colourful toolskit that you can never get in the UK - priceless.
especially the look on the face of the people who work in a bike shop.

I have a set and they are leesh, but I didn't pay £25 for them, more like £16/17
-
• #31
i paid about the same price too, thank fuck I got those before the recession.
-
• #32
yeah, these are the same ones from the same supplier I guess, it's just that the FX rate has moved in favour of the Euro and against the pound :-(

Probably not much use to you guys, but here in Vancouver, I bought a set of colour coded, ball end metric long allen keys, for 7.99cdn, from Princess Auto, that's about 3 quid, and what's more they are bloody good quality!

I have some for sale for £30. PM if interested.

What a great idea.. But I think this might be cheaper if you already have the keys?

from blb cut from the same cloth as these:
http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/product_info.php?products_id=8416
and if so, are these the swiss ones aforementioned?
-

The BLB ones are cheap copies, the Swiss ones are quality tools.

Cheap Allen keys are horrible. Just sayin'. I've bought a ratchet driver adapter set which gives various Allen key sizes driven from 3/8". Made in Sheffield but can't remember the manufacturer just now.

Asides from the colour coded swiss ones, does anyone have any good suggestions for other less expensive, but quality ones?
And how often do people use the ball end bits - ie is it worth having?
Cheers.

I am still using my Swiss one, it look worse for wear but still in excellent shape.
Actually I am quite surprised I hasn't lose a single allen key.

• #44
Blimey I just realised I had it for two years, talk about bang for your buck.

I'd says yes, because it allowed you to tighten certain bolts that are a little tricky to access normally.

Cheers.
I just brought the singles that i needed, the whole set is cheap enough.
freeze forged and stainless steel, had mine about 3/4 years, not a mark on them -

This is the guy I bought:
Very good in my opinion if you need good drive, but less versatility. Great for crank bolts.
I'd be tempted to just DIY-colour-code with paint or Dymo labels.
