I do have a secondary (and quite frankly weak) justification for the twd- I have a stag do to go to in Feb which involves clay pigeon shooting, for which we are meant to be wearing twd.

Surely that can't be more than 15 for the Chinos and 25 for a knackered jacket from some random army surplus store? You could probably even steal the jacket from a homeless guy!

Due to a incident this evening on a roundabout (involving a car), my right knee is hurting like mad. Not really able to get out of the saddle...
I'll come down to waterloo / clapham to pass on the map + compass + cereal bars + love, but no long offroad ride for me..

this bloody small car with part-misted up windows - pulled out into me! My lights were right in her face aswell..
I avoided the car by turning with it and skidding, but because I was stopping with my usual lead foot at the back, I somehow pressed down really hard and now my knee hurts at the edge of the patella.
Then I bumped into the car and changed direction a bit more and she suddenly noticed me and stops, and then I hit an icy puddle and go down.

blah.. it was only a bloody residential mini-roundabout aswell.

The pro 2 single speed hub is ACE! it comes with bunch of different spacers so you can get the chainline right too. Also just fitted the 'Exite' carbon forks to my Scandle, also very impressed.
