The detachable seat stay is for swapping belts.
Nothing wrong with slopping top tube on the right bike.
Such as all the ones on this thread.
I'm 5'7", and tend to prefer a slopping top tube to crushed nuts (my perfectly fitted (horizontal tt)Bob jackson frame only has about 1cm clearance).
You can go too far though.
