they're completely shit, not only they don't exactly keep your hand warm, but I already worn them out so much that I already have a hole on the tip of the index and middle finger part, and it only been 6 months.
shit.

i got a pair of these over That Festive Period and I've been raving about them to anyone who'll listen since. materials seem great, they're extremely well made and the fit is excellent. They're are plenty warm, but for prolonged rides on the coldest days i'll be pairing them with some liners. but yeah, two thumbs up regardless. not exactly cheap at £44 (wiggle.co.uk) but it's good to have nice gloves, especially when Father Christmas is fronting the cash.
+1 good gloves, condor have then around £35 at the moment I think

I really like my DHB Amberley gloves.
I've only had a teeny bit of a cold thumb on the coldest days in so far, easily wamred up by wiggling my fingers when I get to the lights.
for some reason I seem to have really long thumbs and always have trouble with the tip of my thumbs going numb from being pressed into the end of the glove - these are the best I've used for winter though.
Also seem to be properly waterproof.

Hey cheers, for the advice. Well I'll have to see how it'll go when I get them (and a bike) :)
How do you find them in term of woarm, confort, dryness, etc....?Hey sorry I've not bothered to reply until now, i'm lazy.
They have been pretty good. I can feel the wind proof trigger finger cover bit working. They aren't a full on winter glove so this recent freezing snap has seen me with sore cold fingers even when combined with a silk liner glove. And I think they are fine for shower proof but not torrential downpore.
I wore an old pair of snowboarding gloves this morning because my hands hurt so much last night. Perhaps I should check weather reports before I set off, I was fucking roasting when I got to work.

Recomendations?
Looking to spend around 30 on a pair of decent winter gloves before everyone else gets the same idea. Want something thats I can still maintain reasonable use of my fingers and keeps them warm. Not so worried if they get wet as long as they are warm. Don't want to go overboard cos if it gets super extreme cold I'll just wear my ski gloves but I've seen some windstopper winter gloves in the shops and they look too thin do much insulating unless that windstopper fabric is really magic.
Oh and I like something easy to get on and off regularly without turning the liner inside out

To be fair that thread is in the wrong part of the forum:
*"Sell stuff, buy stuff, trade stuff, give it away or just tell others what you've found on eBay."
...*and should probably be moved here:
*
"Bike porn, bike components, clothing, locks, etc."* -

I've got a nice pair of Campag winter gloves BNWT, they're an XL but a but too wide for my slender digits. grey with yellow flash, see pics here
very nice quality, 'Raytech thermolite' & textran' waterproof material (whatever that means), good looking, not bulky. they cost me £25 last winter, yours for £22 posted or £20 if you can pick up from London (west or north)

Get some Grenade pipe gloves... they're made for snowboarding but they're SICK and they provide crap loads of grip (for grabs).
I wore an older version of these on my ride out into the freezing lanes of Kent this morning;
I can only wear them when the temperature is no more than 2 or 3 degrees as my hands get too hot! I'd definitely recommend them for someone who struggles to find a pair of gloves that are warm enough. Gear changing is a bit fiddly but for most on here that isn't an issue.
