    true story

right you mugs, I am setting out RIGHT NOW... Let's do it!

i thought you left already. nosferatu's gonna be on his own

  • i thought you left already. nosferatu's gonna be on his own

    nah im leaving now
    stop being a pussy

  • well my dindins is gonna be about 35 minutes with eating time factored in i should be there in about 45. im missing an aftermeal fag to come out in the freezing cold.

you got my money bitch the FBS tickets came today

  • right! that was one of the best frickin trix nights for ages. And the twenty or so real rockers who rolled up to the car park lifted my spirits tonight. There were a few patches of ice to watch out for but we had a really productive session. those of you worried about the cold missed out! great stuff dudes.

  • it's less to do with the cold more to do with having to cycle up 11 miles again just to go to Trixie Dix (when I normally stay over at my girlfriend's place in central).

  • not directed specifically at you ed - but 22 miles in this weather is no excuse..

  • i agree it was worth braveing the cold. 2 pair of socks and trousers and away we go

  • A lovely night. With cold it's like rain--when you're not in it, it always looks a lot worse than it really is.

Didn't get any tricks done owing to taking ages to 'fix' a puncture (i.e., stick a new inner tube on) on the one night when I forgot to bring my tools. D'oh! Again many thanks to Phil and Chris for loan of tools and inner tube and to Jim who took my tyre off with his hands when I couldn't do it with Phil's tyre levers ...

    Really nice to see everybody.

  • not directed specifically at you ed - but 22 miles in this weather is no excuse..

oh I know, I'm just making excuses really.

  • cheers. for a wicked session tonight guys, boombox guy I forget your name but was cool meeting you and thanks for the choons hillbilly knows the score goretex pac-lite ftw

  • Had a load of fun yesterday, first trixie dix and hopefully not my last.
Damn lockring is getting loose again so takign it to the shop for some tightening.
Good to actually meet some of you guys as well!

Someone needs to fix the link on the front page though, that car park isn't the right one which I found out I was told to go to Aldgate etc.

  • Phil, don't take it to a shop. Google 'rotafix', do that, get your trusty hammer and a screwdriver and hammer the lockring to fuck so it's all tight, bosh.

  • boombox guy I forget your name but was cool meeting you

    That was me, HELLO!

Nice to see everyone again, I was really surprised at how busy it was considering the weather, thanks for all the wheelie tips especially the holding onto the wall lesson that crabtree and I had Top Tips!

    see you all soon

  • How are the wheelies coming on BP?

  • Phil, don't take it to a shop. Google 'rotafix', do that, get your trusty hammer and a screwdriver and hammer the lockring to fuck so it's all tight, bosh.

Looks a bit rough but I'll give it a try :D
If that fails (i.e. if I manage to strip my hub), could anyone suggest a rear wheel/hub/rim under£100?

    EDIT:
Could this workThis seems like a good start:
    http://www.theoldbicycleshowroom.co.uk/system-ex-alloy-36-hole-rear-fixed-fixed-track-hub-898-p.asp

  • BLB sell formula hubs for £30, which are pretty much identical (probably just relogo'd)

    saves on postage.

  • I think Cavendish Cycles sell an System EX (same as Formula) for £25 rear as well.

or just go online and get a pair for £40.

  • ^^Plug comes with formula so I think I'll at least try and get some sort of an upgrade :)

    Profile FTW!!

  • Profile FTW!!

that'd defintely keep it under the £100 budget!

  • as for rims, if you're not too fussed about appearance, Mavic Open Pro FTW.
