Do it, that bike deserves to be offroad.
What parts do you need to get the specialised beater back on the road?Additional thanks for not using the infuriating emoticons.

brakes + grips at a bare minimum. i'm going to replace a few more bits though because it went unchanged/loved/serviced/cleaned for 10 years and it just felt/handled really odd.
I'm going to add a few nice new bits to the on-one once it's retired from commuter duty too.

I've got an LX front Mech and some XT rapidfires (Front and rear 8speed) if you're in need.
May have some LX cranks and isis BB going spare too unless Horatio still wants them. -
• #305
Cheers for the offer. It's going to be mono geared though.
It really shouldn't take much effort. The hold ups for doing it properly are my laziness and a stubborn BB that I'm going to have to take to matt to get removed. -
• #306
Makes sense. Matt SBB right?
-
• #307
Yep.
Right, head down for some work now so I can get out early.
Enjoy your ride tomorrow, See you in the new year. -

south downs way sound great to me, what train, to where, and at what time?
Oh, object, you don't have to drink, pansy.
-
• #323
I'm glad I don't have to drink but maybe just to spite you I'll turn up wasted like the last time I went mountain biking.
-

Prav. You're going to love my take on gears. 18 FTW.
And being my bike it can still do single or fixed with the same wheelset. Is that a 3 x 6 setup, with a Hope pro 2 trials/single speed hub?
After silly amounts of research, Ive decided to go for that hub for my current build. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it (both with and without gears).
Fixed? is that some cunning disc mount type fixed cog?

In!
Early Saturday please?
...post-ride drinks on the train are mandatory. Re-Hydration innit.
Ah! couldn't actually remember what forks were on there. I could have added a semi colon and closing bracket but didn't want to sour the message.
That all sounds quite sensible, are you ok? colon closing bracket
I can any may just switch it over, lets see how much energy I have after a week on the snow. Also as the only times it's been offroad propper are that time we went out and exactly one year later i'm tempted to wait until the first bank holiday of the year to launch it as a permanent offroader (dear
godtynan please don't let me be that silly)
