    i dont get it?

  • that's just a Giant Bowery underneath those sticker.

    no, its a 1988 pit-bull brake se racing pk-ripper
-the loop tails finished in 1984, the 85 had a straight rear stay
-the 86 - 7 were non straight stays
the 1988 as pictured, ran a pit bull brake on the bottom - or trad caliper if you wished

-anyway, you obviolosooely don't want to buy it do you? so why am i bothering doing the typey typey

    -i dunno, some people.........

  • thats called artistic un-licenseness

-or in real terms, i just flashed it together, and rode it up the street, but couldn't be bothered to go too far, so-alas, 5 doors up twas where said pics were taken, plus i didn't have to crouch down to take said picturds

  • Is it a pit bull brake because it bites and won't let go? Sounds a tad dangerous to me...

  • fair enough, but it might be easier to sell if it wasn't sitting in a pile of crap.

  • kind of - yes
    look here
    http://dayton.craigslist.org/bik/965666934.html

i would say more 'centre-pull' in style
-but notice the pulcrum locations - = equals more leverage for your buck me thinks
-anyplops, i figure its more to do with 'having' to have more brake, as in about 1988ish, they always ran chrome rimmage, plus water = slippery

  • fair enough, but it might be easier to sell if it wasn't sitting in a pile of crap.

eggsackery - complete pun intended - an old £300 bike, on a pile of rubbish
    -har - bloody har!!!

  • £300 bit steep!!!!!!!! 1 piece crank and shit wheels......

  • £300 bit steep!!!!!!!! 1 piece crank and shit wheels......

    you forgot
    -shit seat
    -shit seat pin
    shit brakeks
    shit tyres
    shit chain

    shit headset
    shit grips

the wheels are actual araya aero with chrome susue sealed hubs - well ok -shit then
in comparison to tnt derringers and chrome 7x, with stainless spokes and purple nips - i'll give you that!!

  • like I said £300 is alot of money for that bike.

    And i forgot shit pedals.

and yes in todays terms those wheels are shit.

  • did you buy this from ononelangster by any chance ?

  • all the good bits are now on the earlier frame

-so your assumption is in fact correct, in that the bits are well shit, as they are in fact the sweepings just to get it to a rider......absolute shit.

  • only if he resides in montana, plus did so about 3 years ago......

  • oh and that isn't a pitbull brake on the original photo. Also where are the bosses for said brake?

  • no silly billy,
they mount like a conventional caliper - on the bridge
-but in 1988 bike firms put them onto the lower stays, as kids were back hoping the bridges off
-i.e. on the bit that sticks ou tthe bb shell
-from pit bull, was invented the canti-lever

  • -here silly billy
-cable comes through seat tube, un sheathed - stop is the tube
-mounts like conventional - but centre pull
-force is on more sturdier doings, rather than a 3mm flat bit of easilly snapped alloy

  • i know, you can run it either or

  • like I said £300 is alot of money for that bike.

    And i forgot shit pedals.

and yes in todays terms those wheels are shit.

    the pedals are good ones

    ok my bad

  • Bmx dude,I like your bike and I would like to appologise on behalf of the other forum idiots on here. Now if you would of posted a road converted frame or likewise lo-pro,you would of been all the rave on here, but anything other than that just incures negative feedback. There just seems to be an abundance of small minded road conversion riding people on here.Get your heads outta your asses and realise that there is more to cycling than cheap road conversion frames, but that might be difficult for some as the only reason for cycling,is to fit into to this so called fixie sub-culture.Heck most of you ca'nt even change a tire.Hipsters make me sick!!!!

  • put a sock in it.
