  • I don't just build bikes I restore them. When I see a classic bike broken up into parts or converted into something it ain't. I think well there goes a little piece of history. Might not matter to you? but I think a double plate fork makes this bike special enough to keep it together. Like I say all you really got to do is moderate your riding style and if you want a really fast bike try riding gears. something like 53 -14 ..;)

    And this is why a fork swap is clever. You can still ride the bike and then when it comes time to sell it you have the bike complete and as it should be. You can always ride brakeless if you want or on the track but if you're not doing either don't ruin the forks just to fit brakes to a track bike. IMNSHO
