I don't just build bikes I restore them. When I see a classic bike broken up into parts or converted into something it ain't. I think well there goes a little piece of history. Might not matter to you? but I think a double plate fork makes this bike special enough to keep it together. Like I say all you really got to do is moderate your riding style and if you want a really fast bike try riding gears. something like 53 -14 ..;)

I can understand that... but it's just temporary, i mean it's not like the fork is going to be sold separately...

makes you a better rider - better anticipation - more fluid - useful skills that transfer to you other bikes -

ideally yes, but you can only anticipate so much, and there are far too many people on the roads that are totally disconnected from what's happening (drivers and cyclists with mobiles, peds & cyclists with iPods,...) that some extra stopping power can be useful... it's just not for me.
