Brakeless does make you slower unless you are riding dangerously.
Since you can't slow/stop as effectively as a bike with brakes it must be one or the other.

Cant be as bad as about 50% (fictious percentage) of people of london who dont maintain their brakes anyway fixed (fixie), single speed, or otherwise.
