  • Some from my personal collection ^^^^ :)

  • no, blind people should definitely not walk around in mine fields, really bad idea that…

it was a personal chuckle at a previous post.... the irony is hilarious

  • Cricket is a hobby for a lot of people too but it's still a sport....cycling may be a mode of transport but it's also a sport...especially as a large number of people on here ride 'track' bikes designed for 'racing' on a track. Be pedantic if it makes you feel better.

Just seemed strange to label cycling as a sport, when the vast majority of people who cycle don't race. A lot of people drive rally or track day cars on the road, but you wouldn't term driving a sport first and formost

  • ha! it just keeps getting better and better! ;]

  • I've raced one of those ^^ :)

me too. but ours had a shit fairing made of shrink-wrap plastic. the second year we did it we gave up on fairings and just made a really low-slung little beast that was really quick around corners and faster than half the fully-faired CSIRO things.
that thing was fucking awesome. there was one particular corner heading down a long slightly-downhill straight, where the Safeway supermarket was, where we would just touch the rear brake and slide it sideways around the corner at about 50km/h :)

best weekend ever when i was 15.

You must have come last though, eh fat bastard?

    :))

  • Loving that lycra.

It's videos like that, and days when I'm riding my bike and I experience something like that, that make me really appreciate the fact I'm open to whatever form of transport is suitable for the task in hand.

I've always ridden a bike, pretty much since I could walk I've been on a bike. My girlfriend likes to joke that I never developed my walking muscles because I always rode my bike everywhere.

Driving a car never stopped me riding my bike, it just opened up new adventures. Instead of getting a train 200 miles with sweaty cunts, I can drive somewhere (with my bike in my car if I'm going to need it), listen to my own music as loud as I want, and I've got as much elbow room as I want! I could even quote Jeremy Clarkson and say I can fucking spend the entire journey picking my nose if I want without offending anyone.

I must say with these new Pendolino trains, the train is becoming more viable, but you have to book your bike 48 hours in advance, only 4 bikes per train, blah blah blah, and I'm far too impulsive for all these restrictions. Not to mention the fact that it really galls me that if I rock up on the day it costs me £70 for a return ticket to Liverpool, but if I book it months in advance it only costs £15 or something else similarly retarded. Basically they're rewarding miserable cunts who plan their year out on New Years Day.

Last time I got a coach, the driver jumped a curb in Brum city centre knocking whatever device they have to store shit in over. The ensuing carnage as shitty piss started lapping out of the bottom of the toilet door made me decide that despite the fact it only costs £11, and I can buy a ticket only 24hours in advance for that cheap, it's just not worth it.

What I'm trying to say here is that yes cars in cities are gay, but if you live in the middle of fucking nowhere, or have to go long distance with lots of stuff it's impossible to live without a car. The amount of people I've met at uni who come from shitty little midlands villages, they all have the same story. You either have a car and you can escape, or you end up smoking weed sitting in a shithole of a room in your parents house until you're 35 working in the Muller Yoghurt factory, earning £6/hr and wanking in the staff room over a catalogue of middle aged bladder control pants.
Also, shops need deliveries, no cars in cities = nothing in shops.

I ride a bike, and I drive a car and I'm proud of it.

    Also, here's some car porn:

    My mate's old Marcos GT

  • ah, is that the cause of all the problems? In that case... Problem solved.
