I am a little uneasy about this though; if an anonymous system is to be made public there really ought to be a more noticeable announcement made than just a new post in this thread.
I agree with stopping some of the hateful tags but not at the risk of 'outing' people and causing even more arguments.

Tags were launched on the 1st April 2008:

That's pretty clear, always has been.

Only Private Messages are anonymous... everything else can (and eventually probably will) be opened up.
