  • I am ashamed to admitt this, but I was pondering the following not so long ago.

    If rotational weight is bad for acceleration, but is good for stability, and constant speed, once that steady speed is achieved. Then the fact that spokey-dokeys start off near the hub and move toward the rim when moving at speed, would make them ride enhancers.

    there actually is a set of wheels made on this principle; weights on springs that move out to the rim at a certain RPM.
