Whats the deal with household name records now?I was well into most of those bands
capdown were my fave band for ages, then king prawn
YouTube - redrum fixed gear rekindled my love for them recently
lead singer of king prawn used to wear a Standard Bikes tshirt on stage, which led us to believe that he was a bmxer. How wrong we were.

you all just remided of adequate7, thought the name rung a bell.
I seen em years ago sometime but have since forgotten them completely till now.
The most recent hardcore/punk-ish thing that I listened to a lot on record was Jello Biafra & the Melvins.
Very much enjoyed the collaboration, the melvins on their own are boring.

I've missed out at least a decade of punk (when you keep thinking "this sounds like.." it's not as much fun).
Are Swiz still going - got there first record is in my collection somewhere. Any old Subhumans/ Conflict/ Deviated Instinct (remember the Hackney Hell Crew?!) fans here? Must be a few Crass diehards?
Italian hardcore was one of favs: CCM, Negazione, Indigesti, Kina, Disperazione, Wretched etc. Never a dull moment at one of their gigs (unless the singer got hit by a crusty with a hammer asking him for some of his pizza before the gig even started... CCM). I even bought a new record player to listen to my old vinyl (600+ LPs; they take up a hell of lot more room than CDs!).

That lead singer from the Carbonas has real character, stage presence and charisma....my favourite lyric is "1,2,3,4" .....profound!

I think my Poison Idea records are worth more although the Nirvana lovebuzz on clear vinyl is worth a few quid (tink it's that 7"- shaped like a buzzsaw blade, might be a split with Mudhoney)? Cost - $3usd.

Yeah, I think so - that Pigeon Kicker song is good though, as you well know!
-

But then...that might actually not be Capdown...so you can stick with your original judgement :D

who sung kicking pidgeons it wasn't capdown i swear? ah fuck was it sponge or sumin like that? wicked ska band but broke up

I think we've established it wasn't Capdown. It was a good song though...
Although whoever did it doesn't have a patch on the Gadjits, or the Slackers. That's my limit for ska punk. But Less Than Jake were bearable for a time too.

i loved that song, i also liked anti flagha in my nieve days of thinking the world was worth saving i listened to them a bit, they played unplugged in my house once before a show. propaghandi was allways better, but i never got laid at any of their shows so i rember anti-flag.
The Garage!!!! What the hell is going on? a 6 month refurb has now been like 3 years?
