Vans slips ons, not recommended for this weather, literally a piece of cloth sewn to a slab of rubber, wind/cold goes straight through.
see, I never understood the population of the Vans slip-on, sure it's as comfortable as wearing a slipper, and it look very nice, but damn it's too weak for riding with strap and cage especially, the cage dig in easily on your feet, fabric too thin, easy to get wet etc.
I've been cycling with my Adidas Leader shoes recently, they're made of leather which mean it act like a windstopper (well better than a slip-on), stay warm and extremely grippy in the dry, all I need is waterproof sock and I'm sorted.
sure it doesn't score hipster point, but in this time of year, I just couldn't give a fuck.
