I don't want to know (especially if the gf sees it). But I've had a great year of riding so it's been worth it.

Pretty much all my disposable income gets spent on food and bike parts...
At least it's a healthy hobby I suppose, unlike Videogames and the like.

Actually less than I thought. maybe £200. that NOS Campagnolo gear I look at is in big trouble.
-
• #14
sold more than I've bought so i'm in the minuses..
not by much, but I don't have what people call a "disposable income" really, if I want to buy a bike part, then i have to sell a bike part.
saving for trips to newport and calshot this winter is more important than any parts right now

What did she think was going on?
I think I've only spent about £700. That's quite respectable, right? Not that I can afford it.

my girlfriend saw tynans post about ceramic bearings, the one where he questioned whether it was better off to have a bearing stronger than the hub surface, as it means the hub would wear out before the bearing. she thought it was hilarious, it's one of my favourite posts on here.

Make that three.
Actually, not everything. When I think about it I did pay the bank over £13,000 in interest on my mortgage, which it would appear, they promptly pissed right up the wall, along with everyone else's hard earned money. Well done them. Maybe Gordon will lend me some cash for the Sugino crank I'm after?
-
• #22
about £200 probably.
-
• #23
£5-6,000
Lend us the price of a cup of tea, will you Guv'nor? ;)
I've spent more than I should have. But not as much as I would like to.

I don't want to really work it out but i'm sure it'd around £2-3k.
It's not so much that i'v been skint because of it but probably should have been less.
Although when i consider what iv spent on other things - £2k on my Imac/printer/software and by end of Jan about a grand on tattoos then it isn't really too bad. -

GRand on tatoos? You now head to toe?
Almost the end of the year and in light of all this credit crunching was trying to guesstimate my annual spend on two wheels. More than I reckon but less than a yearly travel card. I reckon I'm around £750 down what with buying and selling. Some bargains some rusty drunk purchases...still got a couple more splurges in me though before 2009 ; )
