beware vertical dropouts

I'm gonna try and get this, methinks. What would be a fair price to pay for it, bearing in mind that it's frame, fork, headset,bb only and it's 531? It's currently on £43
no more than £100.
you'll have to swap the dropouts (£50) or mess about with magic gear / eccentric bb/hub.

yep I know. I'd prolly have a go at magic gear. How hard can it be?
-
• #8222
It's easy.. the problem is when it doesn't work and then it becomes painful.
As someone who has racked their nuts on a toptube a few too many times knows.. -
• #8223
why would it become painful? what happened?

power link + chain tool + small amount of common snese = 40 minutes max

Magic gears are more likely to have chain issues.. in my case a lack of chain tension on my ss caused chain slippage on hard take-offs a few times before I had the sense to add a tensioner. Some people run magic gears fine but it will depend on the gear, the chainstay length and the design of the dropouts..
I'm sure someone on here bought this only a few days ago. Too small for yeh?
