  • Oh, dear. London Fields Cycles sell loads of fixed gear and singlespeed bikes, e.g. Lemond, Terry Dolan etc... and accessories. I know as they are very near us. Don't wish to give them too much of a plug!!
I am happy to concede, that London Fields Cycles do indeed provide a larger than average choice of single speed bikes.

I went there last weekend, and had a walkaround inside. I spoke to a (very nice) lady in their sales team (she's here on this forum apparently), then I had a short chat with the proprietor. Their website now shows the ss/fixed bikes they sell, which were not so obvious before.

In fact the range includes (from catalogue) the practically identical Genesis Flyer and the Ridgeback Solo, as well as the ubiquitous Langster, Trek District, and Genesis Day One. So, for OTPs, they're pretty well covered.

Of course, the much smaller Kiwi Cycles offers something more tailor-made. They sorted CG5154 and me out (putting some high-heels and bright lippy on my Bowery). CG weighs probably 1/10th of what I do. So I concur that they know about bikes. They have some 531 (I believe) hipster and drops fixed bikes for sale. As well as Alu (cheaper).

North is looking good. South is well covered in range by Compton Cycles (now my local bike shop).
