How can you skid / How to do skids / skidding

No, I tried once and my bike exploded in a small nuclear fission type ball of dust and bad things.

@DFP - Your talking rubbish again. That's one of those weird bounce skids.

Im not sure upon the perfect terminology for this 'bounce skid' but I saw other doing it, even asked here about it. Then practiced it and found it to work extremely well.

If that is not skip - stopping, what is? You see the name being thrown about a lot, so its gotta be something fairly obvious.
