How can you skid / How to do skids / skidding

my chain never comes off whilst skidding, but it seems to come off occassionally when im skip stopping. any ideas?

makes sense, skipping is like the first powerful part of a skid over and over again combined with a bouncing motion.

If you have:

good chainline

good condition 1/8 drivetrain. (not that 3/32 should have issues)

No reason for any problems.
