  • eyebrows, fazered posted some good advice above. I've never considered myself an insomniac but when I'm under stress my sleep is the first thing to go.

    I guess you need to work out whether your inability to sleep is caused by something environmental, emotional, or physiological.

    what works for me:

    1. routine
    2. radio 4 (need a sleep function on the radio so it turns off after an hour)
    3. writing things down if thoughts and ideas keep me awake
    4. sex (twins = better)
    5. warm milk
    6. meditation (night) / yoga (daytime).
