but that day a few weeks ago when it snowed, hailed and sleeted on a tuesday evening was not a great deal of fun.
went from hackney to kew, by the time i got home my fingers were too cold to open the door and there was a chunk of ice on my bag (where the snow and sleet had refrozen into a lump)
i now have lightweight waterproof jacket, trousers and overshoes, warm gloves and a snug hat permanently in my bag combined with the grim determination that i will never take public transport just because of the weather.
strangely i quite like cycling in light rain, or just after it has finished raining, as noted above fewer nodders with the additional benefit of lower rolling resistance.
so far weather has not stopped me riding
