  • Look like that yes what are they ally cat entry.

  • Them voices in your head talking to you KINGCUTTER?

  • I went to see a second hand Orbea track frame but bought a Patrick Sercu one instead. The paint isn't too good but I'm going to get it painted or powdercoated.
Temporary setup (with wheelset and chain from my moser puppykiller):

I love the retro Sercu decal but I don't think I'll find new ones so I'll prolly just copy them:

But first things first: silver chain, new wheelset with open pro's and the 36h campy track hubs that came with the bike:

Because, let's be honest, the bike looks crap with those white deep rims...
For those who don't know who Patrick Sercu is: he is a very succesful track cyclist from the 60's/70's (?) and is now the organiser of several 6 days events (ghent amongst others)...
Still, I can't seem to find much about the bikes made with is name on it... chances are they aren't all that great ;)

  • Dogmatic, don't powder coat it. It's a lovely frame, get it resprayed by someone like Merician and source some new decals.

Good plan on loosing the wheels, and get some drops on there.. it'll look amazing with some TLC

  • Since I'm in belgium I'll get it resprayed at a company that does lots of bikes... Thinking about either very high gloss white or a mother of pearl style white.
Decals will be impossible to find, i'm afraid... so i'm going to remake them in illustrator, based on photos of the original.

  • Restore that look as it is but with brown saddle and tape. It'll look lovely. That red chain offends me quite a bit.

  • Ah, fair cop! as long as your going to experienced people... pearlecent white sounds good, it's quite similar to my frame (www.photosinthedark.com/Personal/Carlton). I've been having trouble finding the cash for a respray!

Yes, I know, it's off another bike, just like the wheels; i just wanted to ride it straight away!
The brown leather idea sounds nice...

    that bike is lovely!
love the logo... nice oldschool typography...

  • i am infact an underground pimp...i build bikes for my bitches to ride around on and pick up guys.
got to keep your pimp hand strong.

What bar tape is that? Trying to find something that says 80s. Can't be that hard surely?!

  • Just bought this for £50- 531 tubing thoughout-maybe respray and even gears? can't resist a bargain-missus going to whip my ass- though, might have to spend some time under the bed!

Not sure, was already on when I bought it... will have to see if I can find some more, I'll see if it has any branding. Let me know if you see any (cream is ideal)

  • Pretty happy how it turned out... Chesini Hawkes?

  • The one and only- looking good-how tall are you?

  • 6'5'' (without heels)
Saddle might have to come down an inch though - Will check out the set up this fair morn.

  • bikes for us tall people (+6'3") don't come around that often, when they do u have to make the most of it.

    loverly bike broker...

can i ask, what bars are they ? charge ones ?

I'm 6'5", it's one of the reasons I've gone lo-pro as I dislike that large headtube gap you get with big frames. Seat looks ridiculously high.

    you or the bike?

  • That's the local bike shop while I'm in Leeds. Do some nice frames, and very friendly. I think their nicer than Bob Jackson's, at least friendlier.

  • Referring to the Woodrup's frame, made a bit of a hash of the quoting.

I got the very same frame in black the set post was stuck in and a guy at the local garage snapped the dowm tube getting it out, woodrup in leeds said they would replace the tube for 50 quid so i may get it done.

  • re: possible bent seatstay, have measured the width between the dropouts and it's 126mm which is what it should be, so the kink is design.

Should've measured before asking really! Ta.
