Hello Amy, sorry to hear about your injuries but glad it's nothing more serious. U-turning taxi drivers can be a real pain--a friend of mine was hit by one some years ago while he was working as a messenger. I'm glad the driver owned up. My friend was so under shock he didn't even notice he was injured at first (he had caught his ear on the aerial and nearly had it sliced off, plus other bumps and bruises--the scar on the ear is still visible), but he said the policeman who attended the scene was very good and had a right go at the cabbie for making this manoeuvre.
