What a great and useful reception on my first use of the forums (I'm a visitor from the relatively fledgling http://www.glasgowfgss.com/ and a sometime user of bikeradar).
It sounds like the 107mm is definitely the way to go by the consensus here. I assume that the Shimano UN54 (the current version of the UN53, right?) is the same, so that the 68x107mm will be asymmetrical and the one to go for, if buying new?
