  • Wicked-durable strap made from two RECYCLED seatbelt straps sewn together
100% waterproof exterior constructed from RECYCLED inner tubes

Woah! Not just recycled, but RECYCLED! I've got to get one.

  • I'm not happy with all these messengers buying messenger bags.
At this rate there won't be any left for us fakengers.

  • Yeah but, no but,

...................we're all faking that we're faking at being fakes.

EDIT: More photos added by the way

  • Speak for yourself.
    I'm fakir-ing :)

  • Rickshaw! http://www.rickshawbags.com/

Given Scott can't make bags until next year anyway have one of these? Any good? Scott mentioned them himself can't be all bad..... have tried a Bagaboo and ChicagoWig backpack and netiher as comfy as i'd like - not enough padding on the bagaboo and chicagowig just dont fit me body - made for a 6ft 2 14stone minimum I think!

  • Chicago wig are full custom....you have to give isaac your measurements so he can fit it right.....so i wouldn't count them out.
Rickshaw are nice bags....but as they're owned by the original owner of timbuk they may not be all that different.....but they look pretty.
Pac now have a new line of bags out too that may be worth a goosey?

  • just to point out though..rickshaw do have possibly the most annoying website in the world!

  • cheers Scott - I ordered a custom Wig bag but it just doesn't fit me - an expensive mistake so can't afford to make it again. (Anyone want to buy a Wig bagpack from me?) Didn't realise Rickshaw were a Timbuk 2 company...but strap padding looks decent so was tempted....I've modded my Bagaboo as best I can but it's not as good as I know one of your bags would be.... basically I'm looking for second best to what you produce! Will check out the new PACs though if I can - nothing beats seeing/trying in the flesh tho.

  • Seb, come to Sunday polo. You have got a pretty comprehensive collection of bags there and I am sure people would be happy to let you try theirs on for size...

  • true - nothing beat try before you buy!

  • Didn't realise Rickshaw were a Timbuk 2 company...

They're only owned by the guy who originally owned timbuk....they're not connected otherwise.

Shame the wig didn't work for you...they're nice bags. I'd be interested to see your bag actually....if you're at polo on sunday bring it along for me to nose through..:)

yep - another examples of Flash-happy development

I'm waiting for mine to show up, I'll post my thoughts about it as soon as it arrives and I've tried it out for a few days.

not quite so corporate then! never been to polo yet and often not around sundays but happy to lend you the bag for a proper nose if you want! (or swap for a used bag of your own?!)

  • Mind if I ask what the issue is with the bagaboo? Am considering one for myself (waiting list for a Grobag is soooo long!) and have read some good reviews of them...

    Cheers

  • What about Zugster?

  • they're shite :p

  • zugster aren't taking orders until spring next year
i just find bagaboo's padding is a bit ropey and the cross-strap doesn't adjust very well (workhorse) They're not bad but with the exchange rate really not worth the money -

  • Mind if I ask what the issue is with the bagaboo?

Nothing wrong with a bagaboo. I was a courier for 2 years and used many different bags but was definitely most happy with the bagaboo. It took a while to wear in though, as with any bag.

I now use deuter rucksacks and they are perfect for commuting.

  • @seb - PAC simply rock for well constructed durable bags. I have 2 friends that have had there's for over 10 years as active couriers and they are still going strong.
I've used MEC messenger bag, which a lot of TO riders use and that was great for 4 yrs in which i couriered and travelled, would still have it but it got stolen. They're smaller looking but expand and have extention straps in abundance. Once caried 2 wheels, handlebars and 2 forks and a frame with one - and beer.

  • i just find bagaboo's padding is a bit ropey

Oh, I thought bagaboo had the best padding out of any bag i've used! I guess everybody is different though.

  • Zugster added.

I'd added the photo ages ago, but not the name and link.

    List fail. :(

  • yep - each to their own - i've had 2 bagaboo's and not impressed with either. if scott's happy enough to endorse pac and people run them for 10 years they've gotta be pretty decent - i just carry big bulkly loads so need a good fit on the cross-strap but most important the back padding.
who else stocks PAC other than BLB?

  • Speak to Caspar (Rapsac on here) as he might still have some for the killer price of £160;

Emilia showed me her Pac (ooh matron!) at South drinks on Monday and it was very, very nice.
