Obama, irrespective of the colour of his skin, was a far better candidate and will do more for the US than McCain could have possibly hoped to achieve.
Obama was definitely the better candidate no argument. But when you look at the history of African Americans in the U.S. what we have just done is a dream that I never thought I would see in my lifetime. 50 years ago the U.S. was a segregated country and the KKK and the Dixicrats in the south were a force to be reckoned with. Having a "Black" man ascend to the presidency is absolutely incredible! The color of his skin is a huge positive in this case.
