  • He's mixed race. His mother was white and his father black. If you say he is black it's just as valid to say he's white.

    It defiantly is significant that he has black heritage in the context of US politics but it's what his plans are that people should be judging him for rather than "ohh a man with a black Dad is going to be president".

    Agreed... but... he's black... or something. I mean, Im mixed race too, but im pasty colgate white. The fact is, its significant that he's not white. It doesnt matter what you call him. I think it represents a pretty big shift in the mentality of US voters.

    But yeah, the proof is in the pudding and his race isnt whats going to define his legacy.
