Wanted to share this with you lot. And particularly you mans dem who roll sans helmet.
Last night coming home from work I was just coming round the corner of Buckingham Palace to go up the Mall to Trafalgar Square. The lighting round there is all moddy/classy so no real use to anyone. Anyway, some dizzy bitch steps out right into my path and I jam on my brakes.. a little too much pressure on the front and I'm straight over the handlebars. Impact was shared between my head and wrists. There was no choice, it all happened pretty quick.
Anyway.. point is, my wrists are all fucked up n sore but my head is totally fine. Not even a small bruise. My helmet though, mate.. its wasted. All cracked up n dead as fuck. Had it not been on my head when this happened, my poor head would surely be in a sorry sorry state right about now.
Made me really really REALLY glad i wear a helmet. Now the ride home is dark, this kind of shit is sure to happen more and more.
