  • Everyone's a fucking photographer these days. Humbug etc.

    that's very true.

one of the reasons for this is that most people can't tell a good image from a crap one.

    fixed.

  • Everyone's a fucking photographer these days. Humbug etc.

    I'm not

it's for people who were described as "shy" or "gentle" as children.

  • that's very true.

one of the reasons for this is that it's really fucking easy.

same way you can buy digital music equipment and make 'music' it's really fucking easy.

doesn't necessarily give the photography or music any merit though

I disagree, because one can make a photo by simply snapping on auto, and often a decent enough photo to be saleable if you capture the right moment. It's almost completly impossible for someone with no skills to make a song, no matter how good the equipment.

Thats not to say that photographic art is easy to make, but then how many pro photographers do that.

    • However I think we're driving at the same point, a photo or a "song" can be made simply, but have no merit. However, I expect it's easier to sell a shit photo than a shit song.
  • Full time Product Photographer in the fashion industry.

    ooh look at me!

I work as both a freelance photographer doing product shots and have contracts with various companies, doing documentary work etc... but I also do Fine Art photography which is what I enjoy most, however due to it being a hard thing to break into (something which I have not managed to a large scale yet) I have to do the other stuff to suplement my other work and also pay for my degree.

Don't think that disagrees with my point?

  • Still doing my course on photography - aimed to be a photojournalist in the future.

Blame that Bailey dude. Flower Power and all that

Him and the bloody Olympus Trip 35.

thought it´s still a decent camera.

  • If that faker called edscoble comes on here, don't listen to a word. He's deaf, but all his photos I know for a fact were taken by his blind aunt.

    No talent whatsoever.

    Actually it was Mrs Slocombe.

  • I did photography at St Martins but currently earn no money from it at all.

  • a fine example of fish photography. wide angle lens, hold the fish out towards the camera. makes it look bigger than it is. this method also works with penises and breasts.

I love it that there's a proper technique for photographing a fish.

  • I didn't think Nimbus was that fat. Or is that just another piece of photo trickery?
