Can anyone tell me what type of thread a rear Hed3 / Specialized tri spoke axle is?
(This is not a quiz. It is a serious matter). My brain has had too much pain trying to find out. It's not metric and not imperial. The thread seems finer than most. Is there any wise old men with answers in this internet?

Why not ask HED uk - they are very helpfull whenever i have dealt with them

Very good answer. You sir would have won the quiz. So far anyway.

I am back to square one. I rang Hed uk and they told me it is a m10. If only that is the case. Surely there can't be that many types of thread!? Either imperial or metric? But Neither fit. Arrghh.

get a new axle, i got a new track (bolt-on) axle for my front for £12! worth it.

There is more to thread than you think, metric fine, metric coarse, whitworth, BSPF, BSPC, UNC, etc etc.

Gabes. Does your axle fit a specialized rear tri spoke? If so where did you get it from? £12 sounds pretty reasonable. Thanks
Brucy. Your knowledge sounds like the kind of thing I'm looking for. I guess the bloke I spoke to at Hed might have forgoten to mention that it was a metric* fine*..? He swore that all hed/specialized axles are m10 but I guess he might not have mentioned it needs to be fine. Do you think this is likely? Cheers brucy.

Gabes. Thanks mate. I'm just trying my hardest to be a cheap skate and see if I can do it cheaply by just buying some nuts.
I have discovered that the thread is m10 with a 1mm pitch. As far as I am aware this isn't standard metric pitch.
Goes anyone know where i can get some nuts with this pitch?
