    Tonight, Matthew, I am trying brandy.

    It's 2.22 am. So that's really working out well for me.

    Why is it that I can stay sober when I drink at home, but when I'm at the pub - I really feel it after a few beers.

    bad idea! brandy is a bit of a stimulant, and alcohol won't help you sleep.

    it may make you unconscious if you have enough, but that's not proper sleep.

  • fuck me I got up at 7am this morning so a total of...3 hours sleep as it took me a while to get to bed (fag, clean teeth, fight for duvet back off g/f etc...) I am sooooo tired, yet have to go to one job now and then come home and edit more photos till the early hours tonight, as deadline is tomoz.

  • this just means you guys arent riding hard enough. if youre exhausted from riding you should fall asleep.

  • I'm pretty sure I've qualified in the past for ride-induced exhaustion. It does NOT help me fall asleep.

    I sit there all achy and hungry for hours but still buzzed from the ride. My feet twitch, etc. It's as annoying as hell.

  • Maybe try those klams things that are advertised on tv? Force your self to get up earlish, fresh air exercise the usual. The less structure I have in my day the harder I find it to sleep personally.

  • If you are drowsy, infront of a computer (but can't sleep) try hitting the random page thing in wikipedia, and FORCE yourself to read each entire entry.
    Repeat until sleep.

  • Tis true. Make the room dark as possible, quiet as possible and lay down. Think of words ending with M.. like home, roam, foam, mmm. Don't think about fisting or midgets. These tricks and more! worked for me when I worked nights. I still work nights but the trade is different wink wink nudge nudge

    Or even the Kalms things. Although on reflection, a (hairy) clam generally does the trick...
