I'm thinking of going for these wheels, just thought I'd ask advice on whether a) 32 hole will be strong enough (toepath and city riding) and b) whether I can happily run a brake on the front?
(thats Campag Omega V's onto condor hubs)
Just need practical set of wheels for winter bike.

32 should be fine.

Cheers, and I think from reading about that I can happily use a break on them... but they might squeal their way in...

Stealth wheel in progress, I followed Zinn's instructions but not sure I've done it right... Tensioning and truing to come, oh the joy, unless I've ballsed the spoke pattern up of course...
holy mackerel, that is very, very naughty. I am desperate to build a new bike.

i,m just starting to build my first fixie, i found the bike in a skip =D but i love the look of the frame. ive stripped the bike down and decided to keep the crank, and chainring as it only has one ring already, the frame, seatpost, forks, stem bars and front wheel set up. the back wheel was really badly damaged but the hub from what i could see is intact so ive clipped the spokes and plan on rebuilding the rear wheel asap(also converting to a fixie at the same time). i dont know what make the bike is though, it still has the original decals but they have been painted over. If i post a picture on here will anyone be able to help me work out what it is? thanks oh and i really want to keep the seat, it is a san marco seat but has a few rips in it so i,m going to see if i can get it re covered.

cheers peeps for the comments. got some outdoor shots http://s128.photobucket.com/albums/p194/d0gsballs/geekhouse/
frame is really stiff, zero flex, smooth to ride, zippy, no toe overlap, but still reasonably light. i'm really happy how it turned out.

Shouldn't squeal if you 'toe' the break pads in a little.

Everything looking real tight . . . . except for that head-tube badge, looks better without.
Love the white hubs.

still can't believe you got those free.
bastard. -

hehe,
also that big lock-ring makes the cog look like a free-wheel -

That bicycle is amazing.
The little compartments in the handlebars to store your drugs and tyre levers / patches are the best bit. -

you dealer!!!
-
• #1673
They'd only hold enough for personal use, so I think if he's a dealer you'd find most of his stash in his bag.. or in Prav's case on his rack :)
