Spend a little more.
I've had the same 2 pairs of Sennheisser HD25 SP for 15+ years or so. You can get replacement cables and earpads so as long as the drivers hold out they will go forever. The HD 25 seem to be industry standard in radio/tv broadcast monitoring.
